1979 Ford Cortina MK4 2.3 Ghia Manual – Rare & Very Useable – SOLD

Hi and welcome to my listing for this lovely Ford Cortina in top ‘Ghia’ specification.

Finished in light blue (nordic?) with a blue velour upholstery, the Cortina presents in good useable condition for its 47 years of age.

It starts, runs and drives well. The 2.3 litre ‘Cologne’ V6 engine has plenty of power and pulls well, it sounds great too. The gearbox, clutch and brakes are all working as they should. It is in good mechanical order.

The bodywork is generally straight and solid however there are a few scabs, the paintwork is also good overall however there are age-related marks and imperfections here and there.

The interior presents in good useable condition and looks to be complete. The top of the rear seat bench shows some wear and the speedo has stopped working.

The engine bay and underside both look to be in good solid condition.

Comes with a spare parts, as well as a good sized history file containing: workshop manual, invoices for parts purchased and work carried out, a large quantity of old MOT certificates dating back to the 80s, a copy of the purchase invoice from Ford in 1980, old tax discs, old V5Cs.

Registered as a historic vehicle so MOT/tax exempt, cheap to insure too!

A £250 non-refundable holding deposit secures this car.

We can assist with delivery for a reasonable cost, once the car has been paid for.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking.
