1972 Volvo 144 GL – Historic Rally Winning Car – £12500

Hi and welcome to the listing for this rare Volvo 144 rally car with an interesting history.

This vehicle participated in and won the Carrera Copacabana Rally in 2010 – a challenging event which spanned five countries from Argentina to Brazil, traversing Chile, Peru and Bolivia.

It has led a quiet life since but has been regularly maintained and as such is still in excellent mechanical order.

Starts, runs and drives very well. It feels very sturdy and solid to drive. Manual gearbox with working overdrive.

The bodywork is in good solid order, the paintwork is generally good but does show the odd age-related mark and imperfection here and there as you would expect with a vehicle of this nature.

The interior is in good condition, stripped out and lightened with bucket style seats, a full roll cage and an accoutrement of additional switches and gauges.

The engine bay and underside both look to be in very good, solid condition.

Registered as a historic vehicle so MOT/tax exempt but does benefit from an MOT until February 2027 for added peace of mind.

Comes with spare keys, a large history file containing invoices/receipts for work done, old MOT certificates, old V5Cs, separate folders detailing its activities during the rally, photographs, workshop manual.

A £250 non-refundable holding deposit secures this car.

We can assist with delivery for a reasonable cost, once the car has been paid for.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking.
