Hi and welcome to the listing for this iconic hot-hatch, Peugeot 205 GTi.
Finished in Cherry Red, this example presents well overall. The paintwork is nice and bright, and is not suffering from the fading which is common on red cars. It does show the odd age-related mark and imperfection here and there.
Running and driving well, the car is great fun to drive with plenty of pulling power. The gearbox and clutch work as they should and are nice to use. It benefits from a Piper 270 cam and stainless exhaust system, which makes it a bit peppier over standard. Due to the cam, it idles a bit on the high side and is a bit lumpy from cold but this quickly smoothens out.
It handles well too having been fitted with 30mm lowering springs and a front strut brace, it is also fitted with 1.9 GTi Speedline wheels which are finished in gold, and compliment the red exterior nicely.
The interior features full leather seating from the 1.9 GTi ‘Miami’ edition, it is in useable condition but does show some wear – ideally the seats would benefit from being retrimmed. They are however still comfortable and supportive. It could do with a new speedo cable as the speedo works when it likes.
The underside looks to be in solid condition.
