Offered for sale is this rare 2002 Proton Satria GTi.
With Mitsubishi underpinnings and handling tuned by Lotus, these are reliable but also fun to drive cars. Quite underrated in my opinion.
Drives very well, engine is responsive, gearbox and clutch work as they should and it corners superbly, this car has been well maintained and looked after in its current ownership.
Early 2002 car so likely to not be affected by the performance issues of the later cars with the VDO/Siemens ECU.
Interior is in good original condition, no warning lights on the dash.
Bodywork and paintwork is good overall and it has benefited from a front end repaint which also extended to the front wings, doors, mirrors and side skirts. Rear bumper has a slight impression and the some of the offside trim could do with regluing.
Lots of new parts and work done in the last couple of years consisting of: headlights, indicators, towing eye cover, centre caps, rear reflectors, fog lights, front calipers, rebuilt rear calipers, rear discs & pads, rear shocks, front anti roll bar bushes, cambelt, oil & filter, spark plugs, air filter, gearbox oil, fuel pump. NS2R tyres fitted all round last year, 4 wheel alignment done, MTEC discs and Mintex pads fitted, brand new genuine Mitsubishi Evo 3 radiator, Gates accessory belts fitted, new genuine bottom crank pulley, valve cover gasket replaced, new oil pressure switch, fuel filter replaced, front and rear anti roll bar D bushes replaced, new old stock boot lid rubber seal, new old stock drivers door switch!
Many of these parts are hard to find and had to be sourced from Malaysia.
Comes with 2 keys, original Proton wallet, owners manual, service booklet containing stamps as well as a large quantity of receipts for servicing and work done, old MOT certificates.
