Not for the shy and retiring, this vehicle is a proper headturner.
Finished in a wood theme throughout, you could be mistaken for thinking it is made entirely of wood. It does however retain its wood frame but adds wooden elements: grille, bumpers and mirrors to make it quite convincing!
In the last several years, this Mini has benefited from an extensive ‘nut and bolt’ restoration, this included fitment of a reconditioned engine (reputedly at a cost of £2,500), which has only covered a few hundred miles since.
Ash and sapele have been used to create the effect you see.
The interior continues the wood theme with a custom dashboard and switchgear, more modern seats from an R53 mini have been fitted, whilst the carpet has been replaced with leopard print.
It starts, runs and drives well. The gearbox, clutch and brakes are all operating as they should.
The underside looks to be in excellent, solid condition.
Comes with several keys, a leather bound booklet containing a collection of photos recording its restoration, old V5c, a quantity of receipts/invoices for parts purchased and work done.
