Originally a Mini 1000, this example has been upgraded with a later 1275 engine from a Metro, and is running twin carbs which have been set-up well and gives it a nice increase in power over standard.
Offered for sale as a running and driving ‘rolling restoration’ project, it could do with mainly cosmetic TLC – some recommissioning may be required due to little recent use however it starts, runs and drives well, and pulls strongly with its more powerful engine.
The Mini is in presentable condition given its 48 years of age, there are areas of bubbling showing, as well as some age-related marks and imperfections here and there.
The interior is fair – it has nice door cards, rear seats, a fitted dash panel with additional gauges, and a decent carpet set however the front seats could do with recovering or replacement as the upper material has worn away.
It has been fitted with a nice set of minilite style alloy wheels with Yokohama tyres all round.
The engine bay and underside both look to be in good solid condition.
As with all classic cars, please expect there to be ongoing maintenance and areas of improvement.
