Hi and welcome to my listing for this Vanden Plas Princess 1300, effectively an ‘upmarket’ Morris/Austin 1300.
Finished in Black with a Blue leather interior. It is the 1.3 litre variant of ADO16 fitted with an automatic gearbox.
Low ownership with only 2 previous keepers from new, and showing just over 60k miles which may well be correct.
Offered for sale as a ‘rolling restoration’ project, the VDP starts, runs and drives but may benefit from some light recommissioning/TLC. I am told the suspension lowers after a little while so this will want looking into.
It presents well overall. The bodywork is generally straight and solid and the paintwork is good, however the bonnet is faded so could do with polishing/repainting, and there is the odd age-related mark and imperfection here and there.
The interior is in nice, tidy condition and still retains the luxurious features that these are known for. The front seats show barely any wear and the navy blue carpet set is in very good condition.
The engine bay, boot area and underside all look to be quite solid.
As with all classic cars, the VDP would likely benefit from ongoing TLC but offers a great entry point into classic car ownership.
Registered as a historic vehicle so MOT/tax exempt, it does however hold a current MOT until August.
Comes with spare key, workshop manual, MOT certificates, invoices for parts purchased.
