Now for something a bit different! This Triumph GT6 has been prepared with fast road/track use in mind.
It is currently fitted with a freshly rebuilt 2 litre straight 6 engine which with twin carbs and a Bell sports exhaust system, sounds absolutely fantastic.
The engine has recently been rebuilt with new piston rings, big end bearings, main bearings, new oil pump, aluminium radiator and fuel cell. Both the engine and gearbox have been fitted with all new gaskets and seals.
New seals have also been installed in the rear axle. The clutch and brake master cylinders have been replaced. The braking system has been upgraded with new calipers, discs, and pads at the front, along with new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders.
Countless other new parts have been fitted, too many too list here but there are plenty of invoices to show purchases made.
The interior has been stripped out but has retained some Triumph originality in the form of the seats. It has been fitted with a rollcage for additional strengthening and safety. The speedo, rev counter and fuel temp gauges are all working.
The underside looks to be in very clean and solid condition. It has had new floor panels and door sills welded in.
The GT6 makes use of fibreglass componentry to keep weight down – the bodywork presents well and the paintwork looks good but is not perfect close up, not that it needs to be as a track focused car.
It has been fitted with Starmag wheels with chunky semi-slick tyres all round.
Would make an ideal track car/project. I have taken it out for a quick blast and while you could probably use it on the road, it is quite a raw experience with the lack of sound deadening etc. Great fun though, fast and loud!!
Comes with a large quantity of receipts/invoices for parts purchased/work done, it will also come with a carpet set.
