1936 Standard 10hp Saloon – Very Pretty & Rare – SOLD

Lovely Standard 10 finished in two-tone blue and black, with matching blue leather upholstery.

Benefiting from an older restoration, this example presents in remarkable condition for its 89 years of age and has had only 5 previous owners from new.

It is running and driving well, and fires up first pull of the starter button. The gearbox and clutch operate as they should, it has good brakes and working trafficators.

The paintwork is very bright overall with just the odd bit of patina close up, but this only adds to its overall character.

The interior is superb with nice wood, recent new carpets, new headlining, and the seats having been retrimmed in blue leather to a high standard. It is a lovely place to sit in and even smells great!

Comes with set of keys and a fascinating history file, which includes photos of the 1st and 2nd owners (mother & son), buff logbook, recorded services dating from the 30s, 40s and 50s!, period booklets, old MOT certificates and photos.

Original registration number, which is transferrable.

Historic vehicle so is MOT exempt, free to tax, and cheap to insure.

Overall a very charming example of this rare pre-war saloon.
